Researcher, Cascadia Hydrothermal circulation IN Oceanic (K)rust (CHINOoK)       

Collected temperature and seismic data at topography of interest near the Cascadia Subduction Zone.  

Processed seismic data on Reveal by picking seismic velocities and migrating stacks.

Deployed and recovered seismic and heat flow instruments.

Monitored real time data during cruise for quality control.

Deployed XBT daily for sound velocity and salinity gradient measurements.

Maintained blog of cruise activities.

Los Alamos National Laboratory

Intern, Post-Baccalaureate Program

Identified earthquake phases for ocean floor seismic instruments to increase location accuracy in whole earth model as a member of the EES-17 group. 

Provided field support for seismic, volcanic, and gravity campaigns at sea, the Valles Caldera, and Nevada National Security Test Site. 

Utilized self-taught Python programming skills to build Graphical User Interfaces for seismic array quality control analysis.

Presented analytical results at three scientific conferences over two years.

UCSC Keck Laboratories 

Research Assistant

Prepared soil samples from Eastern Sierras for isotope analysis using water table density separation, dry sieving with Roto-tap and sonic sieve, LMT separation, and weak acid leaching under the direction of department graduate students.

Attended weekly reading group with lab members to discuss recent relevant scientific papers.
