Originally from Alabama, I moved to Washington one year ago to study coastal geomorphology in the School of Oceanography at the University of Washington. After completing my undergraduate degree at UC Santa Cruz, I interned at the Los Alamos National Laboratory until I was ready to return to school.
Through my studies, I have developed a passion for community engaged science in coastal systems with a focus on geomorphology, ecosystem change, and sustainability.
An avid rock climber, biker, and hiker, I enjoy exploring the Pacific Northwest on my weekends. I play percussion in a community band in Seattle and plan to continue for the duration of my degree.Â
